Pereira talked about his plans after the fight with Rountree

UFC bantamweight champion Alex Pereira said that after his fight with Khalil Rountree, he would like to continue competing in the same division.

"Frankly, I'd rather defend my title. It takes time and extra preparation to move to another division. So right now I have no problem making weight," Pereira said at the press conference.

The Pereira - Rountree fight will headline UFC 307, which takes place on the night of October 6 in Salt Lake City, USA.
