Ukrainian mixed martial arts fighter Danilo Voevodkin has received a contract with the UFC.
The representative of Ukraine became the winner of the Dana White Contender Series, defeating American Bailey Schonfelder in the first round.
Voevodkin came into the fight as an 8-to-1 underdog, but already in the first round he was able to create an upset of the tournament. First Danilo dropped his opponent with an overhand combination plus a left hook, then took the back of his shocked opponent and held a choke hold, forcing the American to surrender.
This is the seventh win for Voevodkin as a professional. Danilo finished all his fights in the first round.
