Shevchenko: "If Nunez was active, a challenge for a third fight would be appropriate"

UFC women's bantamweight champion Valentina Shevchenko explained why she didn't challenge her longtime rival Amanda Nunez to a fight after her win over Alexa Grasso.

"If she was active, it [the challenge for a third fight] would be appropriate. Knowing that the person hasn't trained for over a year and is doing other things, it's a little unfair.

I doubt she's in good physical shape right now. And mental fitness is important as well. If you make a challenge, both fighters must be in good shape," Shevchenko said.
