Pereira: "I'd like the experience of training with Jones"

UFC featherweight champion Alex Pereira has revealed that he may be taking part in the final part of heavyweight division belt holder Jon Jones' training camp for his bout with Stipe Miocic.

It was previously officially confirmed that the famed American fighters will meet on November 16 in the main event of UFC 309 in New York City.

"Jon and I have been sitting next to each other [in the cageside at UFC 306] and we've been discussing the possibility of training together for a while now. I think it's going to happen. His fight is coming up in November. And it takes me about a week or two to recover from the fight. So I think we'll have enough time to train together. I feel like a heavyweight and he feels like a heavyweight. John looked more fit compared to how he looked last fall. I'd like to learn from his experience. I don't know if we will meet in the octagon, but I would like to get the experience of training with him," said the Brazilian in an interview with YouTube channel Full Send MMA.
