Former UFC champion in two weight categories Daniel Cormier reacted to the latest statement of former welterweight title challenger Jorge Masvidal. Earlier, the latter said he was in talks to return to the promotion and could make an appearance in December.
"He lost his last four fights in MMA, and he lost a boxing match. He said he's going to come back, starch someone, and the UFC will be begging him to fight for the championship. My question to you is, do you care about that right now? Do you care as much as you do in 2019? Do you care the same way you did when he was on that amazing run, when he went from a mid-level guy, from a guy who was something of a journeyman, to the main attraction? He and Kamaru Usman sold tons of pay-per-views. But do we want that today, in 2024, to see Jorge Masvidal come back and fight somebody?" - MMA Fighting quoted Cormier as saying.
