The manager of former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker, Tatrus Day, has spoken out about the possible re-make of the fight between his client and Khamzat Chimaev.
Recall that the Australian and the Chechen were supposed to fight in June, but then the latter dropped out due to illness. Now the fighters are scheduled to meet on October 26 at UFC 306 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
"I believe that in the past Hamzat was really sick. But if it happens again - then there will already be questions. But I'm worried about whether Chimaev will come out for the fight. Apparently, he's ready. Rob had his problems, but he's fine now. Even if Chimaev withdraws, the UFC will find someone else. That will be their concern," Day told Submission Radio.
