Trump: 'Porier didn't lose the fight against Makhachev'

Former U.S. President Donald Trump shared his opinion on former UFC interim lightweight belt holder Dustin Puryear.

In early June, the American failed to capitalize on a third chance to become a full division champion, losing to Islam Makhachev by choke hold.

"Dustin Porier is great. He's a warrior. Whether you like it or not, you have to recognize that. He didn't lose the fight against Islam Makhachev. Dustin was really tough then. I didn't expect a fight like that. He makes people suffer, there's no doubt about that. This guy is a real professional. As the fight went on, Dustin just got stronger. He was beaten and tried to choke him out four times, but he didn't let it happen. Porier is a great fighter," Low Kick MMA quoted Trump as saying.
