UFC lightweight champion Sean O'Malley has spoken out about the end of the promotion's partnership with undefeated flyweight fighter Muhammad Mokaev.
We will remind, in late July at UFC 304 Mokaev defeated Manel Kape by unanimous decision of judges. At a press conference after the tournament, the head of the organization Dana White said that he will not renew the contract with the undefeated Briton.
"It's surprising because Mokaev is 25 years old and he's one of the few fighters that I can name right away if we're talking about some strong fighters. He's 7-0 in the UFC, so it's a bit surprising. But yeah, besides, if you're going to go out there and make UFC life hell on fight week, why would you attack your opponent before the fight and then after the gong in the octagon only manage to land three punches per round?" - MMA News quoted O'Malley as saying.
