Interim UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall has revealed the eventuality in which he would agree to fight lower division titleholder Alex Pereira.
"This guy is a superstar, he can do what he wants. But, if we're both on the same page, our fight will certainly be for the undisputed heavyweight title. So maybe we'll see each other next year at some point.
Like I said, I have a lot of respect for Alex Pereira, for what he's done for the sport, especially in such a short period of time... But if we're going to do it, it's going to be for the undisputed title, so I'll see you there," Aspinall said in a new release on his YouTube channel.
As a reminder, Aspinall knocked out Curtis Blades in the first round at UFC 304 in late July.
