AKA Hall head coach Javier Mendes compared UFC flyweight champion Sean O'Malley and former two-division titleholder Conor McGregor.
"The difference with McGregor is that O'Malley doesn't attack country, religion, family. I fully support what Sean is doing. He's attacking the fighter. Yes, pounce on your opponent, pressure him mentally, do it! But leave the family alone. Leave religion alone, leave country alone. I've never seen Shawn cross the line. As a fighter, I respect O'Malley immensely. He would be a great opponent for Umar," Mendes said in an interview with Red Corner MMA.
O'Malley will defend his belt against Merab Dvalishvili on September 14 in the main event of UFC 306 in Las Vegas, USA.
