UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev has confirmed that he plans to make his next title defense at the end of the year.
At the moment, the Dagestani continues to recover from a hand injury suffered in a fight against Dustin Porier in June.
"Do you have plans to step into the octagon before the end of the year? Yes, I hope to defend my championship belt at the end of the year," ESPN quoted Makhachev as saying.
Makhachev's next opponent is expected to be Arman Tsarukyan.
