UFC CEO Dana White announced that Elijah Topuria will put his featherweight belt on the line against BMF champion Max Holloway on Oct. 26 in the main event of UFC 308 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Topuria (15-0) won his title with a brutal knockout of Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 298 in February. The win not only improved the 27-year-old fighter's unblemished record, but also extended his winning streak in the promotion to seven straight.
Holloway (26-7) claimed the BMF belt by knocking out former interim lightweight champion Justin Gaethje in the co-main event of UFC 300 in April. That performance marked his first foray into the 155-pound weight class since losing to Dustin Puryear on points in 2019.
White also announced three more high-profile fights at the UFC 308 show, as Robert Whittaker will battle Hamzat Chimaev, Cyril Gawn will rematch Alexander Volkov, and Magomed Ancalaev will test the mettle of Aleksandar Rakic.
