UFC interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall has spoken out about undefeated flyweight division prospect Muhammad Mokaev, whom he previously coached.
"Yes, I coached the children's section, and Muhammad was one of the guys in that section. I have known Mokayev since he was 11-12 years old. Since he first came to our country. Even before he started fighting, he was a special kid, a special boy. I am confident that Muhammad will become the UFC lightweight champion," Aspinall was quoted by Sportskeeda.
As a reminder, Aspinall and Mokaev will compete at UFC 304: Tom will fight Curtis Blades, and Muhammad will share the octagon with Manel Capa. The show will take place on the night of July 28 in Manchester, UK.
