Usman: "I'm comfortable in the welterweight division"

Former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman has made it clear that he plans to continue his career in that category.

Last October, the Nigerian made an unsuccessful foray into the middleweight division, losing by majority decision to Hamzat Chimaev. He has not appeared in the octagon since.

"I've associated myself with the welterweight division my whole career. I thought I could become a middleweight champion, take the second belt. I'm comfortable in the welterweight division. The right fight could lure me to middleweight. But right now, my priority is my health," Usman said in an interview with John Anik.
