Eric Nixick, Francis Ngannou's coach, has spoken out about his ward's possible departure following the death of his son.

"He's getting better. The smile is back on his face and he's joking around more and more. He went back to the gym and had a little chat with Strickland and the rest of the lads. 'We are well aware that not all wounds have healed. He'll still have his moments of weakness and vulnerability. He's already talking about the next fight, though. He said at lunch one day that he'd like to dedicate his next fight to his son," Nixick said on The MMA Hour podcast.
