Pereira reacted to Makhachev's criticism

UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira commented on the recent statement of lightweight division titleholder Islam Makhachev.

Earlier, the Dagestani made unflattering remarks about the Brazilian's wrestling skills and called for him to organize a bout with Magomed Ankalaev.

"It's not my problem that some people need more time to learn something. Maybe Makhachev needed more time to learn the fight. It's different with me, you have to accept that," Pereira said in an interview with Daniel Cormier.

Recall that Pereira will rematch Jiri Prohazka on June 29 at UFC 303 in Las Vegas, USA.
