Whittaker has no plans to insure Du Plessis' fight with Adesanya

Robert Whittaker, former UFC middleweight champion, responded to a question about whether he would insure Dricus Du Plessis' fight with Israel Adesanya.

"When I said I was going to insure the fight between Izzy and Dricus, my blood adrenaline was running high and it slipped my mind that I had to go in Australia for root canal surgery. All in all I want to say that I have no plans to be a backup fighter for the UFC 305 tournament. When the fight is over, only then will I have a name and after that I will start a full training camp.

Right now I would like to go on vacation with my kids and also look at fights in Perth. However, if we talk about a return to the octagon, personally, I would like to return at the end of the year - October, November or December," - quotes Whittaker portal Bloody Elbow.

Recall, the fight between Du Plessis and Adesanya will take place on August 17 at UFC 305.
