UFC CEO Dana White has spoken out about the fight between the promotion's former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker and Ikram Aliskerov.
On June 22 in the main event of UFC on ABC 6 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the Australian knocked out the Dagestani in the first round.
"Ikram had a full training camp. He was supposed to fight in the co-main event a week ago. Nobody in the top 15 wanted to fight him. Whittaker agreed to fight on short notice. Then he came out and did his thing. Rob looked classy.
You have to consider that Aliskerov came out to fight against one of the best in the world. Whittaker is one of the best middleweight fighters in history," White said at the press conference.
