Former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker spoke out about Ikram Aliskerov, whom he will fight on June 22 in the main event of the promotion's debut tournament in Saudi Arabia.
Initially, the Australian's opponent was supposed to be Khamzat Chimaev, but the Chechen withdrew due to illness.
"I've been preparing for months for Chimaev's unique style, but Ikram is also a dangerous opponent. I've never heard of this guy before, never seen his fights. But sometimes you just have to accept the way things are going. I'm just confident that my skills will be enough to win.
I've watched some tape of a few of his fights. Not many, to be honest," New York Post Sports quoted Whittaker as saying.
