The 45th President of the United States and current candidate for the head of state from the Republican Party Donald Trump said that he discussed with former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov the possibility of stopping the war in Ukraine.

The politician and the athlete talked at the UFC 302 tournament, which took place on June 1 in Newark, USA.

"Khabib came up to me after the fight and said we have to stop wars. He's so smart. I think he's friends with Putin. And I think I'm going to stop this war right after the election. And if I win, I will stop it very quickly. If it doesn't end sooner. Are we talking about Russia and Ukraine? Yes," Trump said on the Impaulsive podcast.

It is worth adding that Nurmagomedov has not yet made a single statement about the criminal invasion of rf in Ukraine.
