Famous American mixed martial arts veteran Demetrious Johnson shared his thoughts on the upcoming fight between UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev and Arman Tsarukyan.
"I watched fights involving Arman, against Charles Oliveira he looked good. In terms of wrestling, Tsarukyan and Makhachev level each other. Arman does a good job in the stand-up.
This is a good fight. If Tsarukyan wins, it won't be easy for him. I like Makhachev in this standup. Islam has fought more dangerous opponents. For me Tsarukyan is still a newcomer, I haven't seen enough of his fights. The Oliveira fight is good preparation for Makhachev," Johnson said on The MMA Hour show.
The Makhachev-Tsarukyan fight is expected to take place in late fall.
