American mixed martial arts titlist Eddie Alvarez believes former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov could beat his friend, former titleholder Islam Makhachev.
"I think the win would have gone to Khabib. Especially with the damage Porier did to Islam. It would have been a boring fight. Hardly anyone would have been interested in it. Maybe viewers would have been attracted to the fact that they're like brothers. It wouldn't have been that cool to watch. It would be a chess match that would appeal only to other fighters," - said Alvarez on the air of the show The MMA Hour.
Recall that last weekend at UFC 302 Makhachev made his third title defense, defeating Dustin Puryear with a choke hold.
