Tsarukyan to Makhachev: "Don't try to escape to another division"

UFC lightweight No. 1 Arman Tsarukyan congratulated division champion Islam Makhachev on his third successful title defense.

On the night of June 2 in the main event of UFC 302 in Newark, USA, Makhachev defeated Dustin Porier with a fifth-round choke hold.

"Congratulations, Islam! But don't try to run away to another division. You've only defended the title once against a real lightweight and I'm next in line," Tsarukyan wrote on his X page.

Tsarukyan also stated that he is ready to share the octagon with Makhachev in October.
