UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev has revealed that he dreams of one day fighting at New York's legendary Madison Square Garden Arena.
"My dream is to fight at Madison Square Garden. It's a big arena and there have been a lot of high profile boxing fights held there. Years ago, I saw Mike Tyson fight there. And many, many more great boxers. Now they're holding MMA tournaments there. So I want to fight there. Maybe it will happen in November, but we'll see," Makhachev said in an interview with NBC Sports.
Recall that already this weekend Makhachev will defend his title against the encroachments of Dustin Porier. The fight will headline the UFC 302 tournament in Newark, USA.
