The PFL has announced the departure of former Bellator middleweight champion Gegard Mousasi after a contract dispute became public.

A day after Mousasi called the promotion "the worst organization" and threatened legal action, PFL CEO Mike Cogan released a statement on social media announcing the termination of the Dutch veteran's contract.

"We wish him all the best going forward," Cogan wrote in X.

Recall that 38-year-old Mousasi's last fight was in May last year, losing by unanimous decision of judges to Fabian Edwards. Total on his account 49 wins with nine losses and two draws.
