Covington explained his reluctance to fight Harry

Former interim UFC welterweight champion Colby Covington has revealed why he won't be sharing the octagon with undefeated prospect Ian Harry.

"Nobody cares about this dude, he doesn't matter. He doesn't have wins over big name fighters. Fighting him won't do anything for my career. Why would I want to fight him? I'm gonna go out there and beat him, and then everybody's gonna say Colby beat some no-name.

I could fight anybody and still get a bigger payday for it, but I prefer to go forward. I want to get back in the title race because I feel like I'm the best welterweight in the world," BJ Penn quoted Covington as saying.
