The No. 1 ranked UFC lightweight Arman Tsarukyan hopes that division champion Islam Makhachev will be able to defeat Dustin Puryear in their upcoming fight.
"It's a tough question, because Porier is my teammate, and I want to beat Islam in a way you can't imagine. First of all, he has the belt and secondly, I want to take a rematch from him. So I would like Islam to win.
However, I'm not going to take sides. I will just try to attend the fight. That being said, I can say that Porier is good, he has great physicality. He can knock people out very easily. So if Islam makes even a small mistake, Puryear will take advantage of it. He hits very hard," Tsarukyan said on the air of The MMA Hour show.
Recall that Makhachev and Puryear will fight on June 1 at UFC 302 in Newark, USA.
