The unified world champion in heavyweight according to the WBA, WBC, and IBF versions, Oleksandr Usyk, spoke about the current leader in the pound-for-pound rankings—the best boxers on the planet regardless of weight categories.
Previously, the Ukrainian athlete placed Terence Crawford in the first place until he retired. Now, according to him, at the top is Shakur Stevenson—the current WBO junior welterweight world champion, whose style and level of performance earn him special respect.
"I am sincerely grateful to everyone who supports and highly values me, but I am not ready to declare: 'Yes, it is me who is the strongest boxer on the planet' and so on. No, right now, it is probably Shakur," Usyk noted in a conversation with The Ring.
