Former world cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew shared his view on the upcoming WBO heavyweight title fight between reigning champion Fabio Wardley and challenger Daniel Dubois.
According to Bellew, this fight promises to be a truly spectacular and intense showdown between two powerful British heavyweights.
"This will be a magnificent fight. Many continue to claim that Daniel Dubois as a boxer surpasses Fabio Wardley. Personally, I don't agree with that. In my opinion, Wardley has a much more diverse arsenal of punches. He can do many more different things in the ring. Additionally, I believe his defense is at a higher level," Bellew noted.
However, the expert made a reservation: "Don't get me wrong — in one component, Daniel really stands out. He masterfully enters the ring with total aggression and crushing power. In this regard, he is certainly strong. But overall, I prefer Fabio — and I am confident that he will prove his superiority on fight day."
The fight between Wardley and Dubois is scheduled for May 9 at Manchester's Co-op Live arena.
