Famous Canadian cutman Russ Anber, who works in the team of unified world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, recalled the Ukrainian's fight against Dereck Chisora and gave a high evaluation of this opponent's level.

“Dereck Chisora is a kind of 'gatekeeper' to the elite. His nickname is 'War,' and it's not by chance. It's not an easy path; it’s a serious test. If you want to move to the next level, you must go through him. Usyk had to pass this test,” Anber stated.

The cutman added that this particular fight was one of the most challenging in Usyk's career: “And honestly, the fight against Chisora was harder and more exhausting for Usyk than the bouts against Anthony Joshua or Tyson Fury.”

The fight took place in October 2020 in London. Usyk dominated for most of the match and confidently won by unanimous decision (117-112, 115-113, 115-113).
