In recent days, Deontay Wilder has returned to his favorite topic – accusations against Tyson Fury. At promotional events before the fight with Derek Chisora, the American once again stated that the 'Gypsy King' cheated in two of their three fights, hinted at racist biased judging in the first fight, and then emotionally left the Talksport studio without listening to the questions of host Simon Jordan.
Fury first reacted straightforwardly – he posted a knockout moment from the third fight with a caption along the lines of 'here's where the whole cheating plan was.' But just a few hours later, the video disappeared and was replaced by a calm video response:
"I sat and thought about everything Deontay has said recently. I got caught up in this story – reposts, old knockouts, all that. I just deleted it. Instead of seeking revenge, hating, and responding in the same way – it's obvious that the person has serious mental health issues. I don't want to get involved in petty squabbles and call him lost. It's better for me to pray for him and ask God to help him," Fury said, looking directly at the camera.
He then concluded in the same vein, without a hint of sarcasm:
"The fights were won fairly and squarely, period. I will pray for him and ask the Heavenly Father to bring him back to the light. This man is lost, he is a lost soul. I pray to Jesus to bring him back to the Kingdom."
