On April 4th in London, British heavyweight veteran Derek Chisora will have his 50th professional fight — and he has a highly star-studded opponent: former WBC champion, American Deontay Wilder.
In a recent interview, Derek was practically glowing with anticipation:
"I'm on cloud nine right now. It's going to be simply incredible. Wilder is a completely different guy, he's gone through a lot and, I think, will enter the ring to unleash all his pent-up anger. We're going to see a real monster. But you know what? I don't care. I will crush him."
The 42-year-old Chisora is clearly not just aiming to box, but to complete a beautiful and loud chapter of his career with a knockout of one of the most dangerous punchers of contemporary times. For the 40-year-old American nicknamed "The Bronze Bomber," this is also a significant fight — a comeback after a long break and an attempt to prove that his right hand is still capable of taking anyone out.
