Cruiserweight boxer from Zaporizhzhia Vitaliy Rusal died in the war. The death of the 45-year-old athlete with the call sign "Amigo" was reported by his former coach Alexander Likhter on his Facebook page. The former IBO intercontinental champion went to serve in 2022.

“Unfortunately, the information was confirmed. Our boxer Vitaliy Rusal died at the front. Eternal memory to Vitaliy and condolences to his family,” wrote Alexander Likhter.
