Negotiations are underway for a fight between interim WBC super middleweight champion Christian Mbilli (29-0-1, 24 KOs) and former super middleweight champion Jaime Munguia (45-2, 35 KOs). This was reported by Mike Coppinger, a journalist from 'The Ring'.
The fight is scheduled for early next year in Riyadh. Details of the fight are expected to be officially confirmed soon.
In May, Munguia won a rematch against Bruno Surace. The Mexican tested positive for banned substances, but the boxer was not suspended. His statement that the banned substance entered his body due to dietary supplements was taken into account.
In his last professional fight, Mbilli fought to a draw with Lester Martinez. Previously, the French boxer defeated Maciej Sulecki by TKO.
