Pulev and Gassiev will contest the right to face Itauma

The WBA leadership announced that the winner of the fight between WBA regular heavyweight champion Kubrat Pulev (32-3, 14 KO) and former cruiserweight champion Murat Gassiev (32-2, 25 KO) will face Moses Itauma (13-0, 11 KO) in their next professional match.

The Pulev-Gassiev fight will take place on December 12 in Dubai. Itauma will return to the ring in January and face Jermaine Franklin.

The WBA declared that the 20-year-old Briton must fight for the regular heavyweight championship title in the first half of next year. In his last fight, Itauma achieved an early victory over Dillian Whyte.
