Tyson Fury Shocks Fans with Unexpected Retirement Announcement: "It's time to..."

Fury's last two fights didn't go his way. He lost to Oleksandr Usyk twice in a row. Their most recent clash in December ended with Usyk winning by unanimous decision. Before that, in May 2024, Fury suffered a split decision loss to the Ukrainian in their undisputed battle.

After these setbacks, fans expected Fury to face Anthony Joshua in an all-British showdown. But those plans fell through when Fury suddenly announced his retirement from boxing in January.

The retirement didn't stick for long. Soon after, Fury started talking about a comeback in 2026. He set his sights on a third fight with Usyk, claiming he should have won both their previous encounters.

But now, Fury's changed his tune again. When asked about his return to the ring, he gave a surprising answer. Fury stated:

"Never. Too old, look at my beard, all grey. Boxing is a young man's game."

This latest statement seems to be another U-turn on his retirement decision. But it's not the first time Fury's played this game. He's retired and un-retired several times throughout his career, always finding his way back to the ring eventually.

Will Fury really hang up his gloves for good this time? Or will he surprise us all with another comeback? Only time will tell. For now, the boxing world watches and waits to see what the 'Gypsy King' will do next.
