Tim Bradley thinks a boxer who's still fighting today might be the best of all time. The former two-weight world champion, who beat Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez, now works as a boxing analyst. He's got a surprising pick for the greatest ever.
Bradley told Fight Hub TV that Terence Crawford could be the best we've ever seen in the ring. He explained why:
"I think that his skill level is up there with the greatest. I don't think we've ever seen anything like Terence Crawford. I do study history. I never seen anybody that has everything. Good speed, power, timing, can switch the way he switches. The meanness that he has, the way he finishes guys, the way he breaks down guys. He's one of the smartest guys that I've ever seen in the ring, right up there with Floyd Mayweather."
Crawford's got the resume to back up Bradley's big claim. He's won world titles in four weight classes, from lightweight all the way up to super-welterweight. He's beaten top fighters like Errol Spence and Shawn Porter. Crawford became undisputed champion at both 140 and 147 pounds, something no other male fighter has done in the four-belt era.
Now, Crawford's got his eyes on an even bigger prize. He'll jump up two weight classes to fight Canelo Alvarez at super-middleweight in September. If he wins, he'll be the first male boxer ever to be undisputed champ in three different divisions.
It's a huge risk, but that's what makes Crawford special. He's got the skills, the smarts, and the guts to take on any challenge. Whether he wins or loses against Canelo, Tim Bradley thinks we might be watching the best boxer who's ever lived.
