Canelo Alvarez might fight Hamzah Sheeraz in the future. The Mexican boxer told talkSPORT he's open to facing the unbeaten contender, possibly in the UK.

Alvarez, 34, has been boxing for two decades. He started when he was 15 and has fought nearly 70 times. He's won world titles in four weight classes and is the first fighter in the four-belt era to become undisputed super-middleweight champion twice.

Right now, Canelo's getting ready to fight Terence Crawford on Saturday, September 13 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. But he's already thinking about what's next.

"It would be a pleasure for me to fight in the UK. We will see after this. It is a possibility [to fight Sheeraz], why not?"

Sheeraz, 26, from Essex, has become a serious contender over the last year and a half. His last fight was for the WBC middleweight championship against Carlos Adames, which ended in a controversial split decision draw.

Now, Sheeraz is set to make his super-middleweight debut against Edgar Berlanga Jr on July 12 in New York City.

For the Canelo-Sheeraz fight to happen, both boxers will need to win their upcoming fights. Turki Alalshikh of Riyadh Season is backing the idea of this matchup.

Canelo's interest in fighting Sheeraz shows he's looking ahead. He's open to new challenges and fighting in different places. It's a sign that even after 20 years in the ring, Canelo's still hungry for more.
