American heavyweight Mike Balogun believes that the world champion in the WBA, WBO, and WBC versions in his division, Oleksandr Usyk, will defeat IBF title holder Daniel Dubois for the second time.
“It’s hard to bet against Usyk when he has already defeated these guys. I think he has already broken Dubois' will to win. I believe that this is key to winning title fights. You can break a guy’s will to win, break his desire to fight you in such a way that it changes the course of the fight, and I feel that Usyk has already done that. If in the first fight Usyk stopped Dubois in the ninth round, the beginning of the rematch will be the tenth round.
Dubois has had several good wins, but I don’t think this will change the outcome of his fight with Usyk. Undoubtedly, I believe these victories have made him more confident. No matter who you fight, you must enter the ring with confidence. Maybe Dubois has confidence, but Usyk’s skills will be a problem for him. It only takes a few similar rounds to evoke memories, and Dubois might quit. Maybe this time Usyk will find it easier to break him,” said Balogun.
Let us remind you that the rematch between Usyk and Dubois will take place on July 19 at Wembley Stadium in London.
