Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois are getting ready for a big rematch this summer. The two heavyweights will fight for the undisputed title on July 19 at Wembley Stadium.
Usyk holds the WBC, WBA, and WBO belts, while Dubois has the IBF strap. Usyk used to have that belt too, but he gave it up to fight Tyson Fury again.
The first time Usyk and Dubois fought was last August. Usyk won by stopping Dubois in the ninth round. But there was some drama in that fight. Dubois thought he knocked Usyk down with a body shot in the fifth round, but the ref called it a low blow.
Before that, Usyk had a big win over Tyson Fury in May. He became the undisputed heavyweight champ. They were supposed to fight again in December, but Usyk gave up the IBF belt to make that happen.
Now, heavyweight contender Martin Bakole has some thoughts on the rematch. He says he's sparred with both guys and stopped them. But he's pretty sure about who's going to win this time.
"Everyone knows Usyk is going to win….Everyone knows that Dubois is going to lose. He is trying his chance so let's see, but in my opinion Dubois is going to lose again. He can try but it's too late to change something."
Bakole thinks he's the only one who can beat Usyk. He told Seconds Out:
"It's only me that can stop Usyk. I know how to stop him. I did it already in sparring. I know how to do it in a fight. I have a boxing brain, I don't think Dubois has that boxing brain. Usyk is going to play with him."
Bakole's last fight wasn't great, though. He got a draw against Efe Ajagba, and a lot of people didn't like how he looked in the ring.
The Usyk-Dubois rematch is set for July 19. We'll see if Bakole's prediction comes true or if Dubois can pull off a surprise.
