Gervonta Davis and Lamont Roach Jr are set to face off again on August 16 in Las Vegas. The fighters will step into the ring for a rematch following their controversial draw in March.

The first bout ended in a majority decision draw, leaving fans and pundits calling for a rematch. Davis, the WBA lightweight world champion, defended his title against challenger Roach Jr. The fight sparked controversy in the ninth round when Davis took a knee after a Roach jab. Referee Steve Willis didn't rule it as an official knockdown, causing outrage from Roach and his team.

Both fighters now have a chance to prove doubters wrong and right the wrongs from their first showdown. The rematch will take place on Saturday, August 16, in Las Vegas.

Shakur Stevenson, the reigning WBC lightweight champion who's been on a collision course with Davis for years, shared his thoughts on the rematch. He said:

"I think it's dangerous for him to go back in there and fight Lamont, I think Lamont is a hell of a fighter. I can see it going left so he better be on his A game."

Stevenson's warning adds another layer of intrigue to the upcoming bout. Davis will need to bring his best performance to silence any doubts from their previous encounter.

The controversial ending to their first fight left many questions unanswered. Now, both Davis and Roach Jr have the opportunity to settle the score and prove who's the better fighter. Boxing fans will surely be watching closely to see how this rematch unfolds.
