At the boxing evening in South Africa Kevin Lerena (31-3, 15 KO) stopped Sergey Radchenko (11-8, 5 KO), defending the world champion belt according to the WBC version in the bridgerweight category.

The African champion, who controlled the course of the fight from the very beginning, sent his opponent to the canvas twice in the second round. Radchenko returned to the corner completely shattered, but still decided to enter the third round. However, the match did not last long for him, as he was stopped by the Ukrainian corner after another attack from the champion.

Kevin Lerena, after his first successful title defense of the World Boxing Council champion, challenged Fabio Wardley (18-0-1, 17 KO), who on June 7 was left without an opponent after Jarrell Miller withdrew from the match, citing an injury.
