Ryan Garcia and Rolando "Rolly" Romero are set to face off in a high-stakes welterweight bout. The fight will take place on May 2, 2025, at Times Square in New York City.

Garcia, sporting a 24-1 record with 20 knockouts, will step into the ring after a one-year doping ban. His last fight, a controversial win against Devin Haney in 2024, was overturned. Now, Garcia needs to prove himself again. He's promised to focus entirely on the fight and isn't looking for a quick knockout.

Romero brings a 16-2 record with 13 knockouts to the table. The two will battle for the WBA regular welterweight title, with the main event expected to start at 10:15 PM ET (7:15 PM PT).

The event, dubbed "Fatal Fury," gets its name from SNK's new video game, "Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves," which is backing the promotion.

Fight fans can look forward to an action-packed undercard. Devin Haney will take on Jose Ramirez in a welterweight clash. The WBO junior welterweight title will be on the line when Teofimo Lopez faces Arnold Barboza Jr.

"I'm fully focused on this fight," Garcia said in a pre-fight interview. "I've learned from my mistakes and I'm here to show everyone what I'm truly capable of."

The entire card kicks off at 6:30 PM ET (3:30 PM PT). For viewers in the US, DAZN will broadcast the event starting at 6:00 PM ET.

This matchup promises to be a thrilling night of boxing, with both fighters having a lot to prove. Garcia will aim to rebuild his reputation, while Romero looks to cement his place at the top of the welterweight division.
