Carl Froch thinks Daniel Dubois has gotten better, but he still picks Oleksandr Usyk to win their rematch. The two heavyweights will fight again on July 19 at Wembley Stadium for all the heavyweight belts.
Dubois and Usyk first fought in August 2023. Usyk stopped Dubois in the 9th round, but there was some drama. Dubois landed a body shot that put Usyk down, but the referee said it was low and gave Usyk time to recover. After that fight, some people wondered if Dubois had what it takes to be at the top level.
Since then, Dubois has turned things around. He's beaten Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic, and even knocked out Anthony Joshua. Now he's seen as a real IBF world champion.
Carl Froch talked about the rematch on his YouTube show, Froch on Fighting. He said Dubois has changed a lot:
"Dubois is a different animal. He's a better fighter now."
Froch pointed out Dubois's big wins and said he's full of confidence now. He thinks Dubois looks like a whole new fighter.
Even with all that praise, Froch still thinks Usyk will win:
"I just can't see anybody beating Usyk. Nothing against Daniel Dubois, he just got a tougher job to do."
The fight on July 19 at Wembley Stadium is a big deal. It's the first time all four heavyweight belts will be on the line in one fight in the UK. Fans can't wait to see if Dubois can prove Froch wrong and pull off the upset.
