Ryan Garcia and Rolando Romero are set to face off in a big boxing match on May 2, 2025. The fight, called "Fatal Fury," will take place at Times Square in New York City.
Garcia, known as "KingRy," is coming back to the ring after a loss. He's got an impressive record of 24 wins, with 20 of those by knockout, and just one loss. Romero, nicknamed "Rolly," has a record of 16 wins, 13 by knockout, and two losses. Romero's power could be a real challenge for Garcia.
Garcia seems confident about the upcoming fight. He said:
"I feel the same as always: focused and ready to kill. I'm not going for it, but when I throw, they usually fall. I got it, he's going to go for me, I'm going to go for him. It's going to be a great night."
The event will start at 6:30 PM ET (3:30 PM PT), with the main fight expected around 10:15 PM ET (7:15 PM PT). Fans can watch the action on DAZN, with the broadcast starting at 6:00 PM ET.
The undercard also has some exciting fights. Devin Haney and Jose Ramirez will go at it in a welterweight bout as the co-main event. Teofimo Lopez will defend his WBO Junior Welterweight Title against Arnold Barboza Jr.
This big boxing weekend doesn't stop there. The next day, May 3, Canelo Alvarez will fight William Scull in Saudi Arabia. It'll be Canelo's first fight in the country, and he's aiming to become the undisputed light heavyweight champion.
