Canelo Alvarez is gearing up for a fight in Saudi Arabia, breaking from his usual Las Vegas tradition. The Mexican superstar will step into the ring in Riyadh around Cinco de Mayo, kicking off a four-fight deal with Turki Alalshikh.

Alvarez touched down in Saudi Arabia a couple of weeks ago and seems to be settling in nicely. He's been spotted cruising around Riyadh with friends, both old and new, blasting Mexican tunes and soaking up the local scene.

On Friday, fans got a glimpse of Canelo's Saudi adventures when a video surfaced of him riding in a car with his pals. Later, Raul Arreola shared a photo of the same vehicle parked up at the Mike Tyson Boxing Club in Riyadh.

The Mike Tyson Boxing Club, which opened its doors at the end of 2023, is the first of its kind in the region. Iron Mike himself is known to pop in regularly, adding a touch of boxing royalty to the scene.

Canelo's upcoming bout, just a week away, will see him defend all his super middleweight titles against William Scull. While Scull's resume might not set the world alight, he'll be hoping to capitalize on Alvarez fighting away from his usual stomping grounds.

This shift from Vegas to Riyadh marks a new chapter in Canelo's career. The change of scenery doesn't seem to be fazing the champ, though. He's been spotted looking relaxed and at ease in his new surroundings.

As fight night approaches, all eyes will be on how Alvarez performs in this unfamiliar setting. Will the Saudi air bring out a new side of the Mexican legend? Or will it be business as usual for one of boxing's biggest stars? We'll find out soon enough when the bell rings in Riyadh.
