Daniel Dubois wants to get back in the ring and keep up his good form from the last year and a half. He's got his eye on three big opponents for his return to boxing.
Dubois has been on a roll lately. In 2023, he beat Jarrell Miller, showing he can tough it out and take control of a fight. Then in June, he stopped Filip Hrgovic in the middle rounds after a tough start. But his biggest win came in September when he knocked out Anthony Joshua in five rounds at Wembley Stadium. That win over the former two-time world champ really put Dubois on the map.
This hot streak came after some ups and downs in Dubois' career, including a loss to Joe Joyce. But now he's ready to take on the best in the heavyweight division.
Dubois was supposed to fight Joseph Parker in February, but he got sick and had to cancel. Now he's looking to get back to winning.
At Joe Joyce's recent fight with Hrgovic, Dubois talked to BoxNation about who he wants to fight next. He said:
"I want the three big names Usyk, Parker, or AJ. Those are my focus. That's it."
Oleksandr Usyk is at the top of Dubois' list. Dubois lost to Usyk last August, but now he wants another shot. There's talk of a rematch for the undisputed title, maybe in July at Wembley. The boxing bigwigs might let this fight happen before any mandatory defenses.
Joseph Parker is another option. He's the WBO's top contender and has been told to fight Usyk next.
Anthony Joshua, or AJ, is the third name on Dubois' list. AJ's getting over a small injury, but he'd probably be up for a rematch with Dubois.
While Dubois is eyeing these big names, he's got his own challenger to think about. Derek Chisora is waiting for his shot at Dubois' title.
