Floyd Mayweather has stepped in to cool down the heat between Gervonta Davis and Terence Crawford. The boxing legend wants the two fighters to stop arguing and start working together.

The dispute kicked off months ago when Davis backed Errol Spence Jr. against Crawford in 2023. Things got worse in January when Crawford made fun of Davis for not getting invited to the Ring magazine awards gala in London. Davis fired back with a post on X that he later deleted. The boxing world wasn't happy about it, with expert Rick Glaser calling it "very low on the part of Tank Davis."

Mayweather decided it was time to speak up. In a chat with FightHype TV, he praised Crawford's skills and family life.

"I think Terence Crawford right now, in boxing, is the best pound-4-pound boxer. It's good to see him in the position he's in. I think he has a beautiful family. I think he has a beautiful wife. A beautiful queen, a black queen. And there's nothing better than a black woman in this world."

Mayweather didn't stop there. He called for more unity in boxing:

"I think, in boxing today, we need to start sticking together more. Push each other to be better instead of arguing on social media, that's just my opinion. And support each other in a positive way."

The former champ admitted he's changed his ways too:

"I found myself in the past, you know, with the young Floyd Mayweather, exchanging opinions on the internet with different people. But now I'm in a better place in my life."

Crawford has tried to extend an olive branch. He's suggested a big fight night in Riyadh for 2025, with him facing Canelo Alvarez in the main event and Davis taking on Shakur Stevenson in the co-main. Crawford thinks it's a great idea but doubts Davis will go for it:

"It would be crazy [Davis vs. Stevenson], between Crawford and Canelo. It would be great. If Tank wasn't too arrogant to be on an undercard of Terence Crawford, that would be great. But I don't see Tank giving in to any fighter because he'll think it's the Tank show. So I don't know. But it should be a good undercard."

Stevenson wasn't keen on the idea either, saying on X that his fight with Davis should be the main event.

With Mayweather stepping in and Crawford trying to make peace, the ball's now in Davis's court. Will the WBA lightweight champ put the beef aside and focus on making big fights happen? Only time will tell.
