Terence Crawford thinks Shakur Stevenson and Keyshawn Davis can easily beat Gervonta Davis in the lightweight division. The Omaha fighter shared his views during a recent interview, stirring up more drama in his ongoing feud with 'Tank' Davis.
Crawford, 37, has won world titles across four weight divisions and stands as one of the best fighters on the planet. He's the undisputed champion at both super lightweight and welterweight. Now, he's got his sights set on becoming a five-division world champion.
In September, Crawford will likely face Mexican icon Canelo Alvarez. If Canelo beats IBF champion William Scull in May, Crawford could become a three-weight undisputed champion. That's a big deal in boxing.
But right now, Crawford's focusing on the lightweight division. He and 'Tank' Davis have been going back and forth on social media for months. In a chat with Manouk Akopyan, Crawford shared his thoughts on how Shakur Stevenson could beat Davis.
"Just by being Shakur, I don't think those guys can match what Shakur brings to the table. Shakur and Keyshawn is the two best in the division hands down."
Crawford's comments come after Davis's last fight left fans wanting more. The 30-year-old from Baltimore kept his WBA lightweight crown in a split decision draw against Lamont Roach Jr. Many people thought Roach should have won.
Davis and Roach both want a rematch. But Crawford thinks Stevenson, the WBC champ, and Davis are the top dogs at lightweight.
