Saúl 'Canelo' Álvarez and Terence Crawford might face each other in the ring. The potential fight has got people talking, but not everyone's happy about it.
Abel Sánchez, who used to train Gennady Golovkin, doesn't like the idea. He told reporters:
"The fight he has lined up after Scull (against Crawford) seems ridiculous to me. They are two completely different people. Canelo has taken punches from big guys, and no one has hurt him, so I don't think this fight should happen. I've said it from the beginning, but the money is there for both of them, so it's happening, even though it's not a fight I would pay to watch."
Sánchez thinks the size difference is too big. He believes Canelo will end up hurting Crawford. He explained:
"Yes, I think Canelo will stop him. And it's not because Terence isn't talented. Terence is a skilled fighter, but we're talking about a big man, used to fighting against other big guys. Eventually, he'll catch Crawford, punish him, and hurt him."
Right now, Canelo's got other things on his mind. He's training for a fight on May 3 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He'll take on William Scull to try and unify all four super middleweight titles again. Canelo's got the WBC, WBA, and WBO belts, while Scull holds the IBF title.
The Crawford fight could be next after that. It's part of a deal Canelo made with Saudi Arabian Sheikh Turki Al-Sheikh for four fights. If it happens, they might have it in the United States.
Even though some people don't like the idea, it looks like money talks. We'll have to wait and see if this controversial matchup actually happens.
